To observe Martyr’s Day (the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi), the NSS and NCC (Navy) units under the aegis of IQAC of Government Degree College, Doda, organised a “Memorial Lecture” devoted to the life journey of Gandhiji.
The event was organised under the able guidance and patronage of Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal, Principal of the college. About 25 students from the college participated in this online event. The event was organised to pay homage to the martyrs of the Indian Independence Movement and to provide valuable insights about the inspirational contribution of Gandhiji to this movement. It was organised using the Google Meet online platform.
Prof. Zain Batt, CTO, NCC (Navy), acquainted the audience with the role of Gandhian philosophy and its relevance in the present world. The students also asked questions about the Indian freedom movement and satiated their curiosity with answers from the resource person. The event was technically steered by Dr. Sumit Kotwal, NSS Programme Officer of the college.
