Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan meets for Shawwal moon sighting today
Maulana Azad will announce the final decision about the sighting of the crescent.
If the moon is spotted today, Pakistan will mark Eidul Fitr tomorrow (Monday)
At present, the age of the moon is 17 hours, and according to thePakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the age of the moon must be 19 hours in order to sight it.
Meanwhile, the meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal’s zonal committee is underway in Peshawar too and according to the PMD, the duration of sighting the moon in the provincial capital would be 37 minutes.
If the moon is spotted today, Pakistan will mark Eidul Fitr tomorrow (Monday).
However, the PMD said that there are no chances of the Shawwal moon being sighted today due to unsuitable weather conditions, and therefore, Eidul Fitr may fall on Tuesday in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, South Waziristan in Pakistan and Afghanistan are celebrating Eid today after sighting the Shawwal moon yesterday.
