Unsuccessful robbery attempt at J&K Bank Branch Gundna; CCTV footage shows robbers carry gas cutters, set building on fire

In an unsuccessful effort, criminals in the Gundna district of Doda District used gas cutters and other equipment to carry out a bank heist, but were unsuccessful in their mission, and the bank building caught fire during the robbery, forcing the robbers to flee the scene.

The Chenab Times reported the incident earlier in the morning when this CCTV footage was not yet revealed. The detailed video report with CCTV footage and other proofs will be published on Monday.

According to information provided to The Chenab Times, three unidentified individuals were caught on CCTV footage in the Gundna area of Doda District while on their way to commit a Bollywood-style heist at a local J&K Bank branch.

Three unidentified persons carrying gas cutters and other equipment were shown in the video, according to senior police officials, who added that their identities is being determined.

According to police, while attempting to break into the cash chest with a gas cutter, the documents nearby caught fire, causing these three people to flee the scene after an unsuccessful attempt.

All of the paperwork and the private structure that housed the bank branch were destroyed in the fire started by the gas cutter, but the robbers were unable to take any money from the chest. Police said they had filed a FIR and were in the process of identifying the three individuals recorded on CCTV cameras.
