Despite Chinese aggression, India’s trade with Beijing rose by 50 per cent: Arvind Kejriwal

Despite the recent aggression from China, India’s trade with Beijing has reportedly risen by 50%, as quoted by news agency PTI. This revelation was made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at a Republic Day celebration event held at the Chhatrasal Stadium in New Delhi.

“We are buying slippers, figurines, and mattresses from China. “Why can’t we manufacture these in India?” Kejriwal posed as quoted by news agency PTI, while addressing the event. He emphasized that all these items could be manufactured in India, creating jobs for the youth and sending a strong message to China.

The Delhi CM also alleged that China has “occupied” some of India’s territory, which is a cause for concern. He added that despite this aggression, India has been increasing its trade with China, making them richer, which he believes is not right.

Kejriwal also alleged that various state governments are being “harassed” and that in many states, university vice-chancellors appointed by elected governments have been cancelled by the governors. He said, “It seems some dark shadow is enveloping democracy,” as quoted by PTI.

In conclusion, Kejriwal called for India to learn from the good works of other states and questioned the high inflation rates in BJP-ruled states such as Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh in comparison to Delhi, which he claimed has the least inflation in the country.
