Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh, inaugurated the S&S Skill Development Centre near Darbar Hotel Doda.
The centre, established under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), aims to provide essential information technology solutions to the residents of the district.
The DC Doda was warmly welcomed by the team at the centre. The founders of the institute, Naeem Ul Haq Wani and Tasir Akhtar, emphasized the importance of the centre in meeting the IT needs of the local community.
They highlighted how the institute will serve as a hub for IT education and services, catering to individuals seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in this field.
In his address, Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh extended his best wishes and appreciation for the initiative. He acknowledged the critical role of information technology in today’s world and commended the founders for their efforts in establishing such a valuable resource for the people of Doda. He also remarked that district Doda has great potential in its youth, and the opening of such a skill development centre will provide a wide range of opportunities for the younger generation to fulfill their dreams by pursuing skill development courses.
The S&S Skill Development Centre is poised to become a pivotal institution in the district, empowering individuals with the necessary IT skills to succeed in various professional domains. This initiative aligns with the objectives of PMKVY to enhance skill development and create employment opportunities across the country.
