A joint operation was carried out under supervision of DFO Kamraj Forest division Zahid Moghal and DD FPF Sarwar Shah along with staff of FCR Zangli, Kupwara and FPF personnels. During operation mobile plannar/ mini band -saw was seized alongwith illicit timber at Gutlipura, Manigah falling within A-zone forest area of Manigah block, Range Kupwara.

District Legal Services Authority Bhaderwah in colloboration with Forest department Bhaderwah today organise a legal awareness programme on World Environment Day .DFO Bhaderwah Chander Shekhar was chief guest on the occasion where as Advocate Mohd Majid Malik retainer lawyer District Legal Services Authority Bhaderwah was resource person on the occasion who stress on need to protect environment . Mohd Majid Malik also threw light on the environment protection act , national green tribunal act, forest conservation act and directive principles of state policy. Plantation drive was also held on the occasion and proper social distancing was adopted by all participants

Hideout Busted In Chhachchha Forest, Kishtwar, Huge Cache of Arms & Ammunition Recovered

A joint team of troops of Indian Army and Kishtwar Police today, successfully accomplished major recovery of arms, ammunition & war like stores, belonging to militant outfits, by unearthing their cache in Chhachchha forest of Kishtwar district.

After a long search, Security Forces unearthed a hideout and recovered large cache of arms, ammunition & war like stores. The recoveries included one AK 56 Rifle, one magazine with 27 rounds, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher, one 9mm Pistol, one Pistol Magazine with six rounds. The busting of the hideout has foiled the nefarious designs of the militants and their supporters.

This successful operation at Chhachchha region of Kishtwar district has driven another nail in the coffin of terrorism in the region and a setback to anti-national elements, who are trying to revive the militancy in the area.
