District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bhaderwah , today lunched a week-long “Plantation drive” at Divisional forest office Bhaderwah here.The drive was inaugurated by Pr District and Sessions Judge Bhaderwah and Chairman District Legal Services Authority Bhaderwah Ashok Kumar Shavan in presence of Sub Judge Reenu Dogra Gupta , Secretary District Legal Services Authority Bhaderwah Susheel Singh and Divisional Forest Officer Bhaderwah Chander Shekar . The drive was launched by planting medicinal saplings in the premises of Divisional Forest Complex and the forest Department had provided saplings for the purpose of planting them within the Bhaderwah and at all Legal Aid Clinics, Village Legal Care and support centers of the district.Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLSA Ashok Kumar Shavan said they have set a target of planting plants this season across the district especially in the premises of Legal Aid clinics . While highlighting the importance of the green cover, Chairman DLSA , AShok Kumar Shavan said the unchecked deforestation has led to environmental disasters which include soil erosion. He said plantation is the only solution to avoid such disasters. He stressed on the need to create awareness about the environment, plantation, water, air, animals and everything which encompasses ecology.Concerned over the issue of global warming, he said the impact of global warming is felt world-over. In Doda district itself, the effects of the global warming are felt with melting and shrinkage of glaciers, unwarranted floods, and unwarranted high temperature.The medicinal saplings were also distributed among the Para-Legal volunteers of the district Doda for planting these in their respective areas. Retainer lawyer Mohd Majid who was stage secretary said trees are our best friends and also threw light on several environmental legislations that existed in India and various steps taken by the Indian government and judiciary towards environment protection . He also explained Article 21 , 48 A and 51 ( A) of the constitution and added there are six laws related to environment protection and wildlife . Besides the DLSA Staff, TLSC Staff, Retainer Lawyers and Para Legal Volunteers (PLV’s) were present on the occasion.Keeping in view the Covid-19 pandemic the SOP issued by government and social distancing was maintained during the drive.

A fake certificate claiming a negative report circulated on social media showing BMO Signature without stamp and despatch number.
The clarification copy received by Chenab Times says, “It is for the information of all that one certificate being issued on the name of one Covid- negative case is making rounds in various social media platforms.
It is clarified that no such certificate has been issued by undersigned from this office. This certificate in question is forged and its circulation to demean the office of undersigned shall invite legal action under relevant sections of law.”—CT

Cotton Factory gutted in fire in Ganderbal
A cotton factory suffered heavy damaged after it went up in flames in Ganderbal district on Monday.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that fire broke out in the factory at around 3 PM and locals tried to douse of the fire.
Later, fire service officials reached the spot and doused the flames but couldn’t save the Cotton factory, officials said, adding that the cause of the fire is said to be short circuit.
They added that the owner of the factory is Ishaq Ahmed Qureshi S/O Mir Zamaan Qureshi , a local resident of Chantan, Gulabpora area of Ganderbal.
Meanwhile, locals demanded that the owner must be compensated so that he can continue his work as he had acquired loan to raise loan to raise the factory—(KNO)

AD FSC&CA Doda seeks explanation for poor performance in Aadhaar seeding from TSOs
Assistant Director food Civil supply & consumer affairs Doda, Shohab Latief(KAS) calls explanation from tehsil supply officers of Doda district regarding poor performance in Aadhar seeding across the district.
In communication through official letter which read “all of you are very well aware that Aadhaar seeding is the fundamental part in implementing One Nation One Ration Card scheme and vide this office letter No. 1031- 52/FCS&CA/D/2020-21, Dated: 25-06-2020, an action Plan for rolling out One Nation One Ration Card was framed and all of you were directed to collect and seed the non-seeded Aadhaar numbers of the beneficiaries on ePDS”
Letter further read “Whereas, higher authorities have clearly directed that from Sept-2020 onwards, ration shall be provided to only those beneficiaries whose Aadhaar numbers are seeded with their ration cards. Whereas, this office has assigned the Aadhaar seeding target vide letters No. 138- 45/FCS&CA/D/2020-21, Dated: 13-07-2020 & 1599-1616/FCS&CA/D/2020-21, Dated: 21-07-2020 and directed to achieve the given target and submit report on daily basis” In his letter officer also added It was also intimated that any issue regarding Aadhaar seeding should be communicated to this office. Whereas, while going through the daily reports of target achieved, it seems that none of the TSOs has taken the given assignment seriously and have not achieved the said target in the given time frame. Whereas, Worthy Commissioner Secretary to Govt. FCS&CA Department, while reviewing the status of Aadhaar seeding on 07-08-2002, has shown displeasure regarding the poor progress in achieving the target of Aadhaar seeding.
Through this letter he directed all concern to explain the reasons for not completing the 100% Aadhaar seeding target of their respective tehsils as the beneficiaries whose Aadhaar numbers are not seeded yet, could be deprived of their monthly due quota from Sept-2020 onwards.He warned the in next month, if any person approaches to this office regarding the non-receipt of their monthly due quota, it shall be the sole responsibility of the concerned official/officers.
