NEW DELHI, Sept 5 — Delhi Police arrested a 31-year-old private airline pilot on Thursday for allegedly recording objectionable videos of a woman using a hidden spy camera at Shani Bazar in Kishangarh, South West District. The accused, identified as Mohit Priyadarshi, a resident of Civil Lines, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended following a complaint, according to details received by The Chenab Times.
The incident occurred on the night of August 30, when the complainant, Ms. K, a resident of Kishangarh village, noticed Priyadarshi attempting to record her without consent at Shani Bazar. “A case under sections 77/78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at PS Kishangarh,” a Delhi Police statement said, as reported by ANI.
Police recovered a lighter-shaped device fitted with a hidden camera from the accused’s possession. During the investigation, CCTV footage from the area was reviewed, and the suspect’s image was circulated. With the aid of local intelligence, Priyadarshi was tracked down and arrested. “On sustained interrogation, he confessed to his involvement,” police stated, adding that Priyadarshi, who is unmarried, admitted to making such videos for personal gratification.
The accused is employed as a pilot with a private airline, police confirmed. Further investigations are underway to determine if similar incidents occurred elsewhere.
