On Sunday morning, a 37-year-old mentally ill woman allegedly committed suicide at her home in the Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
According to a police official, the woman (name withheld), a resident of Bijbehara’s Sethar neighbourhood, allegedly hanged herself at her home.
Her family members rushed her to SDH Bijbehara, but doctors there declared her dead upon arrival.
