In a testament to relentless efforts and collaborative teamwork, a 47-year-old man, who had fallen into a 40-ft deep well in Tangmarg, Baramulla, has been successfully rescued after an arduous operation lasting over eight hours.
A spokesperson from the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) expressed gratitude for the successful outcome, stating, “We are fortunate to have successfully brought the man out of the well. The operation required tenacity and perseverance in the bone-chilling cold as we navigated every inch to reach him.”
Upon receiving the distress call, emergency responders swiftly mobilized men and machinery, initiating a joint operation with the police and local residents. The collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring a safe retrieval from the well where the man had reportedly fallen while cleaning it.
“After over eight hours of gruelling rescue operation, we were able to successfully bring out the man from the well,” the F&ES official affirmed.
Following the rescue, the man was promptly hospitalized for necessary treatment, ensuring that he receives the required medical attention after the ordeal.
Expressions of gratitude have poured in from the family and local residents, acknowledging the efforts of the Fire and Emergency Services, police, and the community members involved in the rescue operation.
