The Raconteurs, the rock band featuring Jack White and Brendan Benson, reunited for a surprise performance during White’s solo concert in Nashville, marking their first appearance together in seven years. The impromptu reunion occurred during the encore of White’s show at The Truth venue, where the band played fan-favorite songs such as “Steady, As She Goes” and “Hands.”
This surprise appearance follows a period of dormancy for the band, which had not performed together since their reunion in April 2019 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Jack White’s Third Man Records. That 2019 reunion led to the release of their album “Help Us Stranger” and a subsequent North American tour. Prior to that, the band had been largely inactive since 2014, with members pursuing solo projects and other musical endeavors.
The Raconteurs originally formed in 2005 in Detroit, Michigan, and consists of Jack White (vocals, guitar), Brendan Benson (vocals, guitar), Jack Lawrence (bass guitar), and Patrick Keeler (drums). The band’s last official tour dates available show performances in late 2019, with no upcoming tour dates listed for the group.
The surprise Nashville performance has generated excitement among fans, with many expressing a desire for the band to embark on a new tour. The Raconteurs have a history of spontaneous reunions and their music is available for streaming and download through various platforms, including Nugs.net.
