Jammu and Kashmir: Two Students Injured in Srinagar Road Accident

SRINAGAR: Two school students sustained injuries in a road traffic accident in the Maisuma area of Srinagar on Tuesday when their scooty was involved in a collision with a Maruti vehicle.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that a police team from Police Station Maisuma promptly responded to the incident and transported the injured minors to the Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital in Srinagar. Doctors at the hospital have stated that the condition of both students is stable.

The accident occurred in the central part of Srinagar. Initial accounts from attendants suggest that the two students, riding on a scooty, were struck by the passenger vehicle. The injured individuals have been identified as Shayam, aged 15, a resident of Bemina, and Arsalan, aged 10, a resident of Batmaloo. Both are minors.

Medical officials at SMHS Hospital confirmed that the students are currently under observation. Their vital signs and overall condition are being closely monitored, and they are reported to be stable. The swift action by the local police in facilitating their immediate transfer to the hospital has been noted.

Authorities have launched a further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. Efforts are underway to ascertain the precise details of the incident and to identify the vehicle involved in the accident. The police are gathering statements and examining the scene to piece together the sequence of events that led to the collision.
