KFAR RUMMAN, Sep 07: Israeli air force targeted a village in southern Lebanon with two strikes early Monday, resulting in the deaths of at least nine people, including women and children, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.
Information was available with The Chenab Times indicating that one of the strikes hit a residential building, killing eight individuals. The casualties within the building included a child and two women. Additionally, eleven people sustained injuries in this strike, with four children and two women among the wounded.
The ministry further reported that a separate strike on a vehicle in the same village claimed the life of a paramedic affiliated with the Lebanese Islamic Risala Scout Association. Two other individuals were wounded in this second incident.
These strikes occur amidst a heightened period of tension and escalation between Israel and Hezbollah. The Israeli military has not immediately commented on the strikes.
The conflict dynamics between Israel and Hezbollah have seen a recent upsurge, with cross-border exchanges of fire becoming more frequent. Both sides have reported casualties and damage in recent weeks, contributing to a volatile security situation in the region.
