Europe’s technology sector is rapidly advancing its artificial intelligence capabilities with the widespread adoption of the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform. This innovative platform is enabling the construction and operation of some of the world’s most efficient AI factories, focusing on minimizing water consumption for cooling and reducing overall power usage for AI computations. Key players across the continent are integrating the DSX platform to bolster their AI infrastructure and accelerate the deployment of advanced computing resources for enterprises, developers, and governments.
The Chenab Times Has Learned of a Significant Shift in AI Infrastructure
The Chenab Times has learned that a growing ecosystem of European partners, including technology and industrial AI leaders such as AVEVA, Dassault Systèmes, and Siemens, alongside energy and cooling providers like ABB, Eaton, GE Vernova, and Schneider Electric, are collectively supporting this continental buildout. The NVIDIA DSX platform’s reference designs, including the newly introduced DSX POD, are designed to streamline the deployment process significantly. These modular, factory-built units can reduce installation timelines from months to as little as 14 days, allowing organizations to bring AI production online much faster.
Optimizing Performance and Sustainability
Central to the DSX platform is its focus on efficiency. The system’s closed-loop liquid cooling and dry cooling technologies aim for near-zero facility cooling water consumption. Projections suggest that a 2-gigawatt deployment could save up to 54 million liters of water daily, equivalent to the water usage of 180,000 households. Furthermore, the NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS software is engineered to help operators utilize up to 30% less power for the same AI output, contributing to both cost savings and environmental sustainability. Companies such as CoreWeave, Firmus, Google Cloud, and others are planning to integrate this technology into their operations.
Advancing AI Operations with New Software and Tools
NVIDIA is further enhancing the AI factory paradigm with the introduction of NVIDIA DSX OS, an open-source operating system designed to automate infrastructure lifecycle management and improve health automation and resilience capabilities, enabling AI factories to operate at scale. Additionally, NVIDIA SimReady Central provides a hub for digital models of physical equipment, facilitating the faster creation and simulation of AI factory digital twins. These advancements are crucial for managing the complexity and scale of modern AI infrastructure.
The DSX platform unifies five critical layers of AI infrastructure: energy, chips, power, cooling, networking, and operations. This integrated approach allows AI factories to function as single, optimized systems, maximizing AI output while adhering to energy and resource constraints. This comprehensive framework is engineered to maximize tokens per watt and accelerate the time to first production, empowering organizations to deploy secure, future-ready AI solutions efficiently.
