CEO Kishtwar assured the union and said that a detailed report regarding the inclusion of Kashmiri language and implementation of School Education Department’s order will be submitted to higher authorities, as per Anzer Ali who currently leads the union.

Anzer Ali further said, “We got good cooperation from the Chief Education Officer Kishtwar, who assured us that our matter will be reported to higher authorities of the education department in coming days so that the process for implementation of the Kashmiri language subject in schools will be initiated.”

According to Chenab Times’ report on “Chenab Valley Students Angered Over Non-Inclusion of Kashmiri Subject in Schools“, when various students protested in Kishtwar, they demanded the inclusion of a Kashmiri language subject in schools instead of Dogri, which is not spoken in any of the three districts of the Chenab valley.
