SRINAGAR: A teenager from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was repatriated to his territory on June 9 after he inadvertently crossed into Indian territory in Poonch district. The youth was apprehended by the Indian Army.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the boy, identified as Javid Ali, son of Mohd Sharaz, a resident of Tetrinote Mohallah Jabri in PoK, was apprehended near village Salotri in Haveli tehsil. He had crossed the Poonch River and entered Indian territory inadvertently.
Following his apprehension, the army handed over the teenager to local authorities. Further processing was undertaken before his repatriation back to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Details regarding the specific circumstances leading to the border crossing and the subsequent repatriation process are still being ascertained.
