The initial round of allocations encompassed 74 postgraduate programmes, with seats offered across a diverse range of categories. These included the Unreserved (UR), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Kashmiri Migrants (KM), Single Girl Child (SGC), and Orphan categories, reflecting the university’s commitment to inclusive admissions.

Candidates who were offered seats in this first round have a deadline of June 17 to formally accept their allocation. Following acceptance, the final deadline for fee payment is set for June 19, after which their admission will be confirmed.

The university has also provided specific guidance for admissions to programmes that require performance-based assessments. These include Master of Arts (MA) in Music, Master of Physical Education (MPEd), Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), and Master of Fine Arts (MFA). Admissions to these courses, along with those under the Children/Widows of Armed Forces Personnel (CW) and Sports categories, will be conducted concurrently with the third round of admissions.

Applicants targeting these performance-based programs and special categories have been advised to closely monitor the official websites of the respective departments. These departmental sites will publish schedules for crucial auditions and performance tests, which are integral to the admission process for these specific courses.

With nearly 9,000 candidates having already accepted their offered seats, the postgraduate admission process at Delhi University has advanced into a critical phase. This initial momentum sets the stage for subsequent rounds of allocations and potential upgrades, as the university works towards filling the remaining vacancies for the upcoming academic year.
