Sainik School Nagrota in Jammu celebrated its 57th Raising Day on Saturday with a series of events that included a ceremonial march past, sports competitions, and cultural performances, drawing participation from cadets, staff, families, and distinguished guests.

The festivities commenced with a ceremonial March Past at the Major Somnath Sharma Stadium, where cadets showcased discipline, precision, and immaculate turnout. Sindh House emerged victorious, securing first position in both the senior and junior categories of the March Past competition.
Newly admitted Class VI cadets demonstrated notable energy and team spirit in an inter-class Tug of War competition. The event also featured the enthusiastic participation of girl cadets, with two teams competing, adding a vibrant dynamic to the day’s activities.
A friendly cricket match was organised between the school’s staff and cadets, fostering camaraderie and interaction outside of academic settings. The event provided an informal platform for both groups to connect.
The evening segment of the celebrations included a variety of fun games designed for staff members, their families, and children, cultivating a lively and joyful atmosphere across the school campus.
The celebrations concluded with a cultural competition where cadets of Sainik School Nagrota presented a showcase of their talents, creativity, and confidence through diverse performances.
The presence of the parents of the late Flight Lieutenant Advitiya Bal, who was associated with the institution, added a significant emotional and inspirational element to the day’s proceedings, underscoring the school’s legacy and the impact of its alumni.
