Jammu, September 2 — Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Tejinder Singh, conducted a foot patrol of security personnel in Jammu city on Wednesday, assessing the prevailing law and order situation. The initiative aimed to enhance police visibility and public confidence at the grassroots level.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that Singh was accompanied by Deputy Inspector General Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, and SP North Jammu during the patrol. The IGP had recently taken charge of the Jammu Zone following a significant reshuffling of top police leadership last month.
During the extensive foot patrol, senior police officials engaged with residents and shopkeepers across various areas of the city. This direct interaction facilitated the gathering of feedback on public safety and security concerns, providing ground-level insights into the community’s needs and perceptions.
