One House One Tree Plantation plantation Drive organised by Aab E Rawan and We The Helping Hands foundation in Srinagar on Saturday.
As Per a statment said that deforestation may lead to irreversible damages in the environment and can precipitate climate change. Trees can only be saved when enlightened citizenry takes up the initiative to protect them from being felled.
Aab E Rawan and Helping Hands, together, conducted a Plantation Drive on 27th March, Saturday with a mission, “One House – One Tree”. The idea was to encourage people of the valley to grow more and more trees for a sustainable environment. Trees were entrusted to the families so that proper care is taken in the nourishment of the trees.
Quoting Sheikh Ul Alam (R.A), “Ann Po’eshe Teli Yeli Wan Po’eshe”. Food will thrive only till the woods survive.
Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. They also provide us with the materials for tools and shelter.
