To commemorate birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bhaderwah organized a legal -awareness programme on cleanliness, waste management, water conservation and restoration of water resources here today.The programme was held under the aegis of the State Legal Services Authority and under the chairmanship of the Chairman DLSA and Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bhaderwah Virinder Singh Bhou . Secretary DLSA Mudassir Farooq , Mobile Magistrate Bhaderwah Munish Manhas , ADC Bhaderwah Rakesh Kumar ,and ASP Bhaderwah Abdul Qayoom were also present on the occasion.
Advocate Manjeet Razdan and Advocate Mohd Majid Malik spoke in detail about the relevance of Gandhiji’s values in the modern era and his principles of social justice and concerns about the environment and urged the participants and youngsters to imbibe these values so as to lead a meaningful life.They also threw light on the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987 and also enlightened the gathering on Mahatma Gandhi’s life, his social works and efforts to inculcate the ‘Dignity of Labour’ in the Indian society. Meanwhile a cleanliness drive was also launched in and around court premises by PLVs and other staff members .
