In a recent development, the Nadwatul Ulama, one of India’s leading Islamic seminaries, has appointed Maulana Bilal Abdul Hai Hasani as the new nazim (head) of the institution. This decision was made by the members of the Nadwatul Ulama’s administrative council on April 14, 2023.
As per announcement letter, a copy of which available with The Chenab Times, Maulana Bilal Abdul Hai Hasani has been appointed to this prestigious position following the demise of the former head, Maulana Rabey Hasani Nadwi. The new nazim is a well-respected scholar and has served the institution for many years. He has previously held various positions within the Nadwatul Ulama, including as a teacher and administrator.
