Jammu and Kashmir police in Poonch registered a case against an Army officer on Saturday for manhandling Station House Officer (SHO) Rajouri at the Poshana check post on the Mughal road.
The FIR was filed on the complaint of a police officer who was allegedly manhandled and beaten up on Mughal Road, according to the news agency KNO.
“In connection with today’s incident of manhandling of a police officer at Poshana check post on Mughal Road, a case under FIR number 234/2021 has been registered at Police Station Surankote under relevant sections of law against the Army man,” Poonch police headquarters said in a statement.
Additional investigation and legal proceedings are ongoing, according to police.
