A cloudburst triggered flash floods in Honzar locality of Dacchan in Kishtwar on Wednesday, killing at least four people and leaving several others missing.
According to an official confirms The Chenab Times, flash floods caused by cloudburst hit a residential area, causing several people to go missing.
Despite the fact that heavy rains have hampered search operations to locate missing people, he said that the bodies of four people have been recovered.
Shafqat Hussain, SSP Kishtwar, said that several people were believed to be missing after a cloudburst triggered flash floods in the area, according to witnesses.
“The exact number of people missing is unknown because the situation in the area is extremely dire,” he said.
He stated that police, army, and SDRF teams had arrived in the area and that a rescue operation was underway.
