Ramban Accident: RPF Sub-Inspector’s Wife’s Body Found After 5 Days at Reasi

The body of a Sub Inspector of Railway Police Force’s wife was discovered five days after she, her husband, and their two children died when the car they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into the Chenab River in Ramban district on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

Rakesh Kumar, the RPF’s Sub Inspector, and the two children have yet to be found.

According to official sources, the body of a woman named Asha Rani was discovered in Reasi.

Kumar lost control of the vehicle he was driving with his wife and two children onboard on July 26, and the car skidded off the road, plunging into a fast-flowing river at Mehar, a town halfway between Ramban and Banihal. Soon after the accident, a police and QRT team arrived on the scene and began searching.

However, they were unable to achieve success. While the woman’s body has been discovered, the railway cop and the children are still missing.
