Union MoS Home inaugurates several projects in Shopian

Ajay Kumar Mishra, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, paid a visit to the district of Shopian today as part of his ongoing public outreach campaign.

During his visit, the Minister e-inaugurated various development projects. He also lay the foundation for two indoor stadiums, Keller and Zainapora, which will cost Rs 98 lakh and Rs 93 lakh, respectively.

Mishra also paid a visit to the District Hospital Shopian, where he e-inaugurated the Dialysis Unit, which is expected to cost Rs 25.45 lakh, as well as the hospital’s Blood Bank. He interacted with health officials as well as the citizens that had gathered.

The Deputy Commissioner updated the Minister on the district’s developmental actions to date, as well as some important developmental concerns and projects that need to be addressed in the future.
The Minister also held a public meeting during which different delegations came to see him and informed him about various challenges they were facing.

According to Mishra, the need of the hour is to encourage young people, particularly young people, to channel their energy in a positive direction. He promised that the government will provide all possible assistance in developing the district. He went on to say that it is a source of pride that the District Administration is ahead of the curve in terms of developmental activities and is meeting the expectations of those who have high hopes for the Administration. He stated that the Prime Minister’s goal is to serve the nation as a whole in a mission mode, to work together wholeheartedly, and to make a significant change in order to make it successful in all areas of life.

Mishra echoed the Union Government’s goal, saying that the Centre wants its ministers to examine the situation on the ground and solicit public feedback. The minister said, “The Centre also seeks to ensure that people’s lives are touched and that constructive change is brought.”

DDC Members, BDCs, ULBs, PRIs, Civil Society Members, ST/SC Members, district youth, and other political leaders and workers interacted with the Union MoS Home to express their requests and issues. He carefully listened to them and assured them that their legitimate concerns would be investigated and resolved in a timely manner.

Bilqees Jan, DDC Chairperson, Irfan Manhas, DDC Vice-Chairperson, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, SSP, Shopian, Amrit Paul Singh, and other top district authorities were also present.
