Residential house damaged in Bandipora blaze

A double-storey residential house was completely gutted in a massive blaze that broke out in Mantrigam village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said on Saturday.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that fire broke out in a two-storey house, belonging to Muhammad Ramzan Ganie, son of Abdul Ahad Ganie of Mantrigam on Saturday early morning, reducing property worth lacs into ashes.

They said the cause of fire is being ascertained.

Meanwhile, locals appealed to the authorities to provide compensation to the affected family.
