Mirzapur Official installs “I Love Mirzapur” selfie point in UP’s Mirzapur

The effect of the initiative of Mirzapur officials, the first selfie point in the district was ready. The selfie point, located at the railway station, South Gate Mirzapur, became the centre of attraction.

“Mirzapur is a city with a huge heart, full of hundreds of years of tradition, religion, culture, history, and celebration. Whoever comes to Mirzapur for some reason becomes a part of the city, and this city feels like his home,” Vishal Yoman, founder and director of Mirzapur Official said.

“We have seen such installations in Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj and other metros, and now something similar is ready in Mirzapur district as well,” he added.

He further said, “This type of typographic installation is the first public art of its kind in Mirzapur, which reads “I love Mirzapur”. Unlike traditional public art structures, which consist of statues or memorials, “I Love Mirzapur” creatively features a heart shape, which has a universal, modern-day appeal.

In the month of December 2012, team Mirzapur officials submitted a memorandum to the Divisional Commissioner to make the selfie point, “I Love Mirzapur,” in Mirzapur.

“I love Mirzapur” typography will be a new way to celebrate Desi pride in the art form. “I love Mirzapur” will emerge as the symbol of the city. “This artwork will connect the people and will work to take the sense of belonging to the district to new heights,” Yoman claims.

This initiative of Mirzapur Official, the digital media outlet of Mirzapur Mandal, was started on December 9th, 2021, after a meeting with Divisional Commissioner Yogeshwar Ram Mishra. Team Mirzapur’s district correspondent Ravi Yadav had submitted a memorandum to the commissioner and chief development officer, as a result of which the higher officials appreciated the idea and agreed to it, according to Yoman.

The interesting thing is that people are also going to use this place as a new landmark. In crowded places, people find it difficult to locate or address each other. It will suffice to say “I love Mirzapur”.

Yoman also said that the construction of this selfie point can make local markets buzz, where the youth of the city will be inclined towards establishments like cafes, ice cream parlors, restaurants, and street food corners. There is no doubt that this establishment will be the new favourite haunt of every Mirzapuri, which is going to play a vital role in promoting tourism and the local market.
