Munish Sharma, a teacher from Kishtwar, tragically lost his life in a car accident near the Garsu area of Doda district. The accident occurred when the vehicle, bearing registration number JK17-9723, lost control and plunged into a deep gorge off National Highway 244.
Mr. Sharma, the son of Sh. Prabhu Dutt Sharma, was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the accident. According to initial reports, local passersby and residents immediately responded to the scene and managed to retrieve his body from the wreckage. The Ababeel ambulance service arrived shortly thereafter, but unfortunately, Mr. Sharma had already succumbed to his injuries.
Mr. Sharma was a teacher working in Department of Education. The Chenab Times reported the incident via livestream, noting that this information is preliminary as investigations continue.
Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the accident, and further details will be released as they become available.
