In a move aimed at supporting students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, the Ram Trust organized a stationery distribution drive in Jammu on Sunday. The initiative provided essential school supplies to students from various parts of the city and its adjoining areas, reinforcing the Trust’s commitment to educational upliftment.
Stationery Drive Targets Underprivileged Students
According to details received by The Chenab Times, the programme commenced with the invocation of the National Anthem, fostering a patriotic atmosphere. The stationery distribution drive, a key initiative of the Ram Trust, was inaugurated in the presence of C P Gupta, Chairman Trustee, Dr Virender Mahajan, Trustee, and Raghav Gupta, General Secretary of the Trust. Anjali Mahajan, another Trustee, participated in the event remotely via a video call.
Students from diverse sections of Jammu city and neighbouring localities were the recipients of these essential stationery kits. Each kit was thoughtfully assembled to include vital academic tools such as exercise notebooks, a stationery box, pencils, pens, erasers, and sharpeners. The provision of these materials aims to alleviate some of the financial burden on families and ensure that students have the necessary resources to pursue their education without hindrance.
Ram Trust Highlights Vision for Social Welfare
During the event, C P Gupta articulated the core vision and ongoing initiatives of the Ram Trust. He elaborated on the organization’s unwavering dedication to social welfare and community development, underscoring its continuous efforts to empower marginalized sections of society. Gupta emphasized the critical importance of promoting education among underprivileged children and reaffirmed the Trust’s commitment to implementing various welfare programs targeted at these communities.
Adding a cultural dimension to the proceedings, Ved Prakash Gupta recited a poem that resonated with the audience, receiving appreciative applause. The event saw the attendance of several other individuals, including Rajni Gupta, Sakshi Gupta, Chand Verma, Jyoti Lachotra, Seema Kumari, Dinesh Gupta (Ex-Corporator), Dr Dinesh Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Ravi Kant Gupta, Dr Subash Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Sanjeev Gupta, Rajeev Gupta, Mohit Gupta, Akshay Gupta, Swarn Lachotra, and Shiv Kumar Gupta, who joined in supporting the cause. The vote of thanks was delivered by Raghav Gupta, concluding the formal part of the distribution drive.
