Three young men riding a motorcycle were killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi district when an unidentified vehicle collided with their bike. The incident occurred late Thursday night in the Shivganj area, according to local police.
The Chenab Times has learned that the victims were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony when the fatal accident took place. The collision occurred in the Munshiganj police station area, situated on the Rae Bareli-Sultanpur road.
Police reports indicate that the three men sustained fatal injuries on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Karan, aged 20; Ankit, aged 20; and Arjun, aged 22.
Shivakant Tripathi, the Station House Officer of Munshiganj police station, confirmed that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations. He further stated that legal proceedings have been initiated, and authorities are actively working to identify and trace the vehicle responsible for the hit-and-run incident. Efforts include reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity and gathering information from other potential sources.
The incident has highlighted concerns regarding road safety in the region, particularly concerning unidentified vehicles and hit-and-run cases. The police are urging the public to cooperate by providing any information that might assist in the investigation.
