At least six construction workers were killed and two feared trapped when a section of an under-construction bridge collapsed in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening amid a severe storm. The incident occurred in the Mahrajganj district of the state.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the bridge, part of a crucial infrastructure project, gave way around 5 p.m. Local residents reported that construction activities were in full swing when the storm, accompanied by strong winds and heavy rainfall, struck the area. Subsequently, a significant portion of the bridge structure, including supporting pillars, crumbled, leading to the collapse and burying workers under the debris.
