Jammu and Kashmir: Five Injured in Electric Autorickshaw Accident in Doda

Five people sustained injuries after an electric autorickshaw met with an accident in the Kahara area of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday evening. Four of the injured were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Doda for specialized treatment after receiving emergency care at Community Health Centre (CHC) Thathri.

According to details received by The Chenab Times, the road traffic accident occurred in Kahara at around 7:14 p.m. The injured were brought to the Accident and Emergency Department of CHC Thathri at approximately 7:35 p.m., where medical teams carried out initial assessment, stabilization and treatment.

Medical records from CHC Thathri identified the injured as Waseem Raja, 30, son of Abdul Latif of Batoli, Kahara; Chander Shekhar, 33, son of Daya Chand of Batoli, Kahara; Subhash Chander, 43, son of Anil Kanth of Piyakul, Kahara; Mohd Rabbani, 23, son of Noor Mai of Batoli, Kahara; and Bagh Hussain, 43, son of Ilam Din of Batoli, Kahara.

Hospital authorities said Waseem Raja suffered multiple injuries along with a head injury. After emergency stabilization, he was referred to GMC Doda for further evaluation and management.

Chander Shekhar was diagnosed with polytrauma, a head injury and a fracture in the left upper limb. He was also referred to GMC Doda after receiving initial treatment at CHC Thathri.

Subhash Chander sustained multiple injuries, including a head injury and chest trauma. Medical staff stabilized his condition before referring him to GMC Doda for advanced care.

Mohd Rabbani suffered polytrauma with a lumbar impact injury. Following emergency medical intervention, he was referred to GMC Doda for further examination and treatment.

The fifth injured person, Bagh Hussain, sustained minor injuries in the accident. He remained under clinical assessment and treatment at CHC Thathri at the time the report was prepared.

Medical officials stated that all five victims were received in the emergency department and managed according to established treatment protocols. Medico-legal formalities related to the accident were also completed.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known. Further details regarding the circumstances leading to the incident were awaited. No fatalities were reported in the accident.
