Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday engaged in pointed commentary regarding Pakistan’s response to Operation Sindoor, asserting that the deployment of BrahMos missiles manufactured in Uttar Pradesh compelled the neighbouring nation to seek international clemency.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that Adityanath made these remarks while addressing the public in Mahoba, where he officiated the inauguration and laid the foundation stones for 88 development projects valued at approximately ₹697 crore.
The Chief Minister stated, “The day when BrahMos missiles manufactured in Uttar Pradesh’s Defence Industrial Corridor were fired at Pakistan, it was seeking mercy… Will this Pakistan be able to fight with India?” He further elaborated on the strategic significance of the BrahMos missile production within Uttar Pradesh, highlighting its role in bolstering India’s defence capabilities.
The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority oversees the Defence Industrial Corridor, which spans across Aligarh, Agra, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Kanpur, and Lucknow districts. Adityanath indicated a future vision for the region, proposing the establishment of a similar missile hub in Mahoba, Hamirpur, and Chitrakoot districts, thereby extending the defence manufacturing footprint into these areas.
Emphasizing the evolving defence landscape in Bundelkhand, Adityanath noted that the region is now a hub for tank manufacturing. He remarked that the presence of locally produced guns and tanks instills fear in adversaries, contributing to national security.
In a broader statement on governance and public order, the Chief Minister asserted that his administration has effectively curbed the influence of the mafia, stating they have been made to “bite the dust.” This comment underscored the government’s focus on law and order and its commitment to creating a secure environment for citizens.
Adityanath also touched upon the observance of International Yoga Day, linking physical well-being with mental and spiritual health. He articulated a philosophy where a healthy body fosters a healthy mind, which in turn leads to a healthy soul, ultimately contributing to public welfare.
