The notices reference affidavits submitted by the CRMIs at the commencement of their internships. In these affidavits, the interns had pledged to maintain discipline and adhere to the rules and regulations of the medical college. The undertakings also explicitly stated that the interns would not participate in strikes, legal proceedings, or any other activities deemed acts of indiscipline.

The current absence from duty is considered a direct contravention of these undertakings. The administration has warned that such conduct could lead to disciplinary actions. These actions may include the curtailment, temporary suspension, or cancellation of their internship, in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.

The CRMIs who have been absent from their assigned duties have been directed to submit a written explanation within 24 hours of the notice’s issuance. They are required to clarify why appropriate disciplinary action should not be initiated against them under the established rules.

The notice further stipulates that a failure to submit a satisfactory explanation within the stipulated timeframe will be interpreted as an admission of having no defence. In such an event, the matter will be processed and dealt with strictly in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations.
