REASI, August 30 — Seven members of a family are feared dead after a landslide flattened their house in a remote village in Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir, early Saturday, officials reported.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, heavy rains in Badder village of Mahore triggered the landslide, with rescue operations currently underway to locate the missing family. The missing individuals, presumed deceased, include the house owner Nazir Ahmad, 38, son of Bahar Din; his wife Wazira Begum, 35; and their five minor sons: Bilal Ahmed, 13; Mohd Mustafa, 11; Mohd Adil, 8; Mohd Mubarak, 6; and Mohd Wasim, 5, all residents of Badder.
The Chenab Times learned that efforts to trace the family continue amid challenging conditions, with no further updates available.
