The accused, identified as Fayaz Ahmad Zarger, son of Mohammad Shafi Zarger, a resident of Qutub Din Pora, Aali Kadal, Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, reportedly operated under the name M/s HR Choice International Education Consultancy from Karan Nagar, Srinagar. He is accused of luring job aspirants with false assurances of securing employment in Bahrain.

During the course of the investigation, EOW officials discovered that Zarger had allegedly employed a consistent modus operandi to cheat several other individuals seeking overseas jobs. The investigation revealed that he collected substantial sums of money from the victims, subsequently providing them with counterfeit job offer letters, visas, air tickets, and other fabricated travel and employment documentation.

To lend an air of legitimacy to his scheme, the victims were allegedly compelled to participate in online interviews, undergo medical examinations, and sign agreements, all while being assured of their impending overseas employment. However, official investigations found that no actual jobs were arranged, and the money collected from the victims was neither refunded nor returned.

The EOW stated that the allegations were substantiated through the evidence gathered during the investigation. Following the completion of all legal formalities, the chargesheet has been filed before the competent court for judicial adjudication.

The Economic Offences Wing has issued an advisory urging the public to exercise extreme caution when engaging with agencies or individuals who offer overseas employment opportunities. It is strongly recommended that individuals verify the authenticity of such offers thoroughly before making any financial commitments.

Victims of economic fraud have been encouraged to report such incidents to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) at the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Kashmir, or to submit their complaints via the designated official email address for prompt and appropriate action by the authorities.
