SRINAGAR: A tragic road accident in the Imam Sahib area of Shopian district has resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to her son. The incident occurred on Tuesday when the scooty they were traveling on skidded off the road.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the woman, identified as Saja Banoo, wife of Ghulam Qadir Naikoo, was riding pillion on the scooty driven by her son, Shakeel Ahmad Naikoo. The vehicle lost control and veered off the road at Amerbugh.
Saja Banoo sustained critical injuries in the accident and was declared dead at the scene. Her son, Shakeel Ahmad Naikoo, also suffered minor injuries. Both were residents of Kharwara.
