Joshua Jackson is offering a glimpse into his upcoming HBO Max series, titled “How to Survive Without Me.” The show, co-created by Greg Berlanti, Robbie Rogers, and Bash Doran, centers on a family grappling with the aftermath of the matriarch Beverly’s death.
The Chenab Times has learned that the narrative kicks off six months after Beverly’s passing. “The show starts six months after the matriarch of this large family has passed away, and because she was the glue that held them all together, the family is now scattered and falling apart,” Jackson explained.
He further teased the series’ thematic elements, suggesting a dive into the wilder aspects of life. “It’s very much a ‘sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll’ kind of world,” Jackson stated, hinting at the potentially chaotic and indulgent lifestyle depicted. The actor also humorously reflected on his own stage in life, quipping, “I’m getting too old for this s—,” suggesting the show might explore themes of aging and the desire for youthful exuberance.
The series is poised to explore the complexities of family dynamics and grief, set against a backdrop that promises a departure from mundane reality. Details regarding the specific plot points, cast members beyond Jackson, and the production timeline for “How to Survive Without Me” are still emerging.
