Ambulance seized with 80 Bottles of illicit liquor (750 ml each) at Thathri

Thathri, 18 September:
An ambulance vehicle bearing registration number JK17-3791 seized by Thathri police during Naka duty near Kalnai Bridge Thathri on Doda-Kishtwar national highway here on Friday.
During the checking around 80 Bottles of illicit liquor (750 ml each) were found inside the Ambulance.
In this regard, a person namely Kalwant Singh S/o Munshi Ram R/o Simna Colony Kishtwar (ambulance driver) was arrested and 80 bottles of illicit liquor (750ml each) along with Ambulance vehicle seized by SHO Thathri.
Speaking to the correspondent, Insp. Javed Iqbal SHO Thathri confirmed the incident and seized of ambulance vehicle. He further said the ambulance was on way towards Kishtwar and the case has been registered under FIR No 76/2020 U/A 48-A Excise Act at Police Station Doda
