Boost in J-K Congress: Numbers of leaders from various political parties joins Congress at Jammu

JAMMU: The Indian National Congress has received a significant boost as several members and leaders of various political parties, mostly block level committees, BDC Chairman, Sarpanches, Panches, joined the party at Jammu. The block level leaders hail from Ghat, Gundna, Thathri, and Kahara of Doda district. A video press conference is underway and will be published on The Chenab Times facebook page when this report is being filed.

In addition to the block level leaders, various youth leaders and activists from different political backgrounds have also joined the Congress. Many of the members previously belonged to the Democratic Progressive Azad Party, National Conference, BJP, and other political outfits.

The Congress has expressed its delight over the developments and said that the influx of leaders and members from other political parties is a reflection of the faith in the leadership and vision of the party. The party has also welcomed the new entrants and promised them a platform to work towards the betterment of the society.

The joining of the block level leaders and other members is likely to be a setback for the parties they have left. The move is expected to dent the morale of the parties and create a void in their support base.

Political analysts have said that the Congress is gaining strength in the region, and the influx of new members is indicative of the people’s disillusionment with the policies of other parties. They have also opined that the move is likely to have far-reaching effects on the political landscape of the region in the upcoming elections.

The developments in Jammu have created ripples in the political circles, and many are eagerly watching the situation to see how it unfolds. The Congress, with its newfound strength, is expected to play a crucial role in the upcoming elections and could emerge as a dominant force in the region.

The Congress had faced a significant setback when Ghulam Nabi Azad, a senior leader of the party, resigned and founded his own political outfit called the Democratic Progressive Azad Party. Many leaders and members had joined him in this new party, which was seen as a blow to the Congress. Azad had been a prominent figure in the Congress and had held various positions. However, the recent influx of members and leaders from other political parties in Jammu is seen as a positive development for the Congress and could help the party regain its footing in the region.
