The police party of Police Station Gandoh, led by SHO Police Station Gandoh Insp. Vikram Singh, along with a police party of Jammu Police under the supervision of SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom and SDPO Gandoh Sahazada Kabir Matoo, nabbed a most wanted thief and absconder, namely Farooq Ahmed Rather @ Farooq Kala S/O Mohd Sharief Rather @ Sharief Kala R/O Thaloran Tehsil Gandoh District Doda.
The police team, after strenuous efforts, ultimately succeeded in nabbing the aforesaid absconder from the Samie Kounaghati Changa area of Gandoh. He is wanted in several cases bearing FIR No. 223/2021, FIR No. 1/2022, FIR No. 03/2022, FIR No. 07/2022 of P/S R.S Pura Jammu and FIR No. 22/2020 U/S 457/380 IPC P/S Channi Himmat Jammu. Moreover, he is wanted in theft and burglary cases registered in District Samba.
Furthermore, the absconder is also involved and wanted in theft cases bearing FIR No. 04/2016 U/S 454, 380, 34 RPC, FIR No. 73/2016 U/S 454, 380, RPC, and FIR No. 98/2017 U/S 454, 380, 34 RPC of Police Station Reasi.
