According to the official, the injured officers were brought to a local hospital and are in stable condition. He said, “The area has been blocked off and major searches have been initiated.”
The attack happened a day before J&K LG Manoj Sinha was scheduled to visit Kulgam.
“I strongly condemn the heinous attack on the security force in Kulgam in which our brave police jawan, Nisar Ah Wagay, earned martyrdom,” J&K LG stated in a tweet. Militants will never be able to carry out their wicked plans, and those responsible for such horrible atrocities will be held accountable. In this time of loss, my heartfelt condolences to the martyr’s family.”
