In a major rift, Congress suspended Farooq Ahmed Shikari, Block Congress Committee president from Kahara, Doda for a period of five years.
“Kahara Block Congress will appoint a new president in a couple of days after meeting with senior party functionaries of Kahara Block,” a statement revealed.
Congress leader on the basis of anonymity confirms The Chenab Times, President of District Congress Committee Doda suspended Block Congress Committee President Farooq Shikari for a period of five years.
It is pertinent to mention that The Chenab Times carried the close-door meeting coverage minutes after the meeting. And an hour later, Congress suspended BCC President Kahara.
