Government Teacher Suspended in Kishtwar for Second Marriage Without Permission

In a recent development, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav (IAS) has issued an order suspending Teacher Grade-II PS Ziyarat Mohala Zone Marwah, Sh. Manzoor Ahmed Lone, over his alleged violation of the employees Conduct Rule, 1971.

According to the order, a copy of which available with The Chenab Times, a complaint was received from Mr. Lone’s first wife regarding his second marriage, which he had entered into without seeking permission from the government. In response to a show cause notice served to him by the Zonal Education Officer Marwah, Mr. Lone has reportedly confessed to the charges against him.

The order states that pending an enquiry into his conduct, Mr. Lone has been placed under suspension in accordance with Rule 31 of the Classification, Control and Appeal, 1956. Furthermore, an enquiry committee is to be re-constituted, headed by a female officer and one female member, which will conduct a discreet enquiry into the matter and submit a report within a period of 10 days.

This order, bearing the number DCK/PS/23/F.no.14/29 and dated 05-04-2023, highlights the importance of following the rules and regulations laid down by the government for its employees. The authorities have taken strict action against Mr. Lone for his alleged violation of the employees Conduct Rule, 1971, which prohibits government employees from getting married without seeking prior permission from the competent authority.
