SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh has released the interview schedule for 71 candidates shortlisted for the position of Driver Grade-II, now designated as Transport Assistant-II. The interviews are scheduled to take place in Jammu and Srinagar in mid-July.
The Chenab Times has learned that the Chief Justice’s Secretariat issued Notification No. 1509 of 2026/Psy on July 9, 2026, detailing the interview process. This follows an OMR-based written examination conducted on June 27, 2026, as part of a recruitment drive initiated by Advertisement Notification No. 03 of 2025/Psy on June 26, 2025.
A total of 71 candidates have successfully qualified for the interview stage based on their performance in the written examination. The recruitment administration has organized the interview dates geographically to facilitate applicants from both the Jammu and Kashmir regions. Candidates from Jammu are required to report for their interviews on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the High Court Complex in Janipur, Jammu. Those from Kashmir are scheduled to appear on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the High Court Complex in Srinagar. For all shortlisted individuals, reporting time is strictly fixed at 9:00 AM.
As per the directive from M.K. Sharma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, the notification emphasizes that candidates are solely responsible for monitoring this announcement, as individual interview call letters will not be dispatched. Attendance at the interview venue does not guarantee final selection. All candidatures are subject to a comprehensive verification of eligibility and qualification credentials. Any discrepancies or failure to meet background prerequisites during verification will lead to immediate disqualification.
Candidates appearing for the interview must bring a valid form of identification, such as a PAN card, Driving License, Passport, or an official identity card. Furthermore, they are mandated to present all original academic mark sheets, diplomas of prescribed qualifications, category certificates, valid driving licenses, and domicile certificates. A complete set of photocopies of these documents must also be submitted. Failure to produce any of the required original testimonials at the venue will result in the forfeiture of the candidate’s candidature.
The notification also stated that official correspondence regarding this announcement, under endorsement No. 1249-57/Psy-621, has been forwarded to the Registrar General of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, and the Secretary to the Justice for judicial record.
The list of shortlisted candidates for the Jammu interviews on July 18, 2026, includes individuals such as Siddant Sharma, Harjinder Singh, Sahil Kumar, Rahul Chlotra, Anil Sharma, Abhishek Gurgotra, Deepak Chouhan, Tarundeep Bhagat, Munish Karotra, Sachin Sharma, Sahil Kuamr, Zakir Hussain, Balwinder Singh, Rohit Sharma, Harminder Singh, Mahesh Singh, Ankush Sharma, Pankaj Kumar, Sahil Khajuria, Suresh Kumar, Parveen Singh, Akeel Abass, Ashok Singh, Rahul Kumar, Altaf Hussain, Manoj Sharma, Manoj Kumar, Bilal Ahmed, Atul Sharma, Rajinder Kumar, Vikas Kaith, Sumesh Khajuria, Rakesh Kumar, and Sandeep Kumar.
