SRINAGAR: A 47-year-old woman from Gujarat, visiting Srinagar, was discovered unconscious in her hotel room late Monday night and was later pronounced dead upon arrival at a hospital.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the deceased, identified as Nakitaben, a resident of Gujarat, was staying at a hotel in the Sonwar area of Srinagar.
Her relatives found her unresponsive in the room during the late hours of the night. She was promptly transported by her family members to Paras Hospital for medical attention.
Medical professionals at the hospital confirmed that she was brought in dead. Officials stated that the police have commenced legal and medico-legal proceedings to investigate the circumstances leading to the tourist’s demise.
The precise cause of death is expected to be determined following the completion of the necessary medical and legal formalities.
