Bhaderwah, Jammu & Kashmir: The judicial landscape of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir has received a significant upgrade with the inauguration of a newly constructed Court Complex in Bhaderwah. Information was available with The Chenab Times that the modern facility was officially opened on Wednesday by Justice Sanjeev Kumar Shukla, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Rahul Bharti, who serves as the Administrative Judge for District Doda. A number of judicial officers, members of the legal fraternity, civil administration officials, and prominent local citizens were also present for the occasion.
Following the ceremonial inauguration, Justice Sanjeev Kumar Shukla conducted an inspection of the new Court Complex. He reviewed the newly established judicial infrastructure and the facilities designed to cater to the needs of litigants, advocates, judicial officers, and court staff. The complex aims to provide a more conducive environment for legal proceedings and public interaction with the justice system.
In his presidential address, the Acting Chief Justice highlighted the inauguration as a landmark event for the residents of Bhaderwah and the wider Doda district. He underscored the critical role of quality judicial infrastructure in the effective delivery of justice. Justice Shukla reaffirmed the High Court’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the judicial system through ongoing advancements in both infrastructure and technology.
Justice Sanjeev Kumar commended the collaborative efforts of all agencies and stakeholders who contributed to the successful completion of the project. He expressed optimism that the new Court Complex would serve as a vital centre for justice for the entire region. Balbir Lal Jaswal, Principal District and Sessions Judge for Doda, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of contemporary judicial infrastructure in ensuring the efficiency and accessibility of justice delivery mechanisms. He conveyed his gratitude to the High Court for its continuous support in reinforcing the judicial system within the district.
Justice Sindhu Sharma, in her remarks, pointed out the crucial role that strong judicial infrastructure plays in elevating the quality and reach of justice services.
