Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Sujit Kumar convened a critical security review meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir to meticulously assess the current security landscape and evaluate the preparedness of police personnel throughout the Central Kashmir Range. The meeting underscored the importance of maintaining a robust security grid and ensuring operational readiness to safeguard public peace and order.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that the gathering included senior police officials such as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Central Kashmir Range (CKR) Srinagar, Senior Superintendents of Police (SSsP) from Srinagar, Budgam, and Ganderbal, SSP PCR Kashmir, SO to IGP Kashmir, and other officers of the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) and Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs). Participating officers provided comprehensive briefings to the IGP, detailing the prevailing security situation within their respective jurisdictions and outlining the security measures already implemented to preserve peace and ensure a secure environment.

During the extensive deliberations, IGP Kumar specifically focused on the security grid and the overall preparedness within the Central Kashmir Range. Emphasis was placed on the strategic deployment of personnel and their operational effectiveness. The IGP directed the officers to intensify counter-insurgency (CI) operations, enhance area domination efforts, and increase naka checking, particularly at vulnerable points. Furthermore, he stressed the need to strengthen surveillance and checking along inter-district borders to prevent any movement of militants or suspicious elements.
