SRINAGAR: A comprehensive search operation to locate a 25-year-old man who allegedly jumped into the River Jhelum at Pantha Chowk is now in its fourth consecutive day as of Sunday. Officials confirmed the ongoing efforts to retrieve the individual.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the operation is actively being conducted in the River Jhelum at Sempora. Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) Quick Response Team (QRT) Pantha Chowk, SDRF QRT Battalion Headquarters Srinagar, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are participating in the extensive search.
The objective of the ongoing operation is to recover the body of Sajad Ahmad Mir, a 25-year-old resident of Balhama in Srinagar. Reports indicate that Mir allegedly jumped into the River Jhelum on July 23. The specific circumstances leading to the alleged jump have not been detailed by authorities.
